Delivery Notice


DO NOT SIGN DELVERY RECEIPT -

Until Inspected & Always Sign (STI) Subject To Inspection on ALL Deliveries.

Important: Door Delivery & Inspection Instructions

CURBSIDE DELIVERY ONLY - The driver is only required to pull the trailer to the end of your driveway or the loading dock of a commercial facility. Drivers will not move the product into your garage, backyard, or home.

It is the customer’s responsibility to have the necessary personnel or equipment (i.e. a forklift for commercial/large orders) to offload the product from the trailer.

Roll Up Door Outlet, nor the manufacturer are not liable for delivery delays occurring in good faith. The customer is responsible for any demurrage charges caused by absenteeism at time of delivery, or charges due to requested delays or changes after shipment (i.e liftgates). Any additional charges will be payable to the delivering carrier at time of delivery.

Note: Liftgates do not always work depending on size of crate/box/pallets and some freight companies do not offer liftgates).

INSPECTION:

If STI (Subject to Inspection) is NOT noted on the delivery BOL concealed damage will NOT be warrantied and covered by Roll Up Door Outlet nor the manufacturer.

Upon delivery, while the truck driver is still on the premises, immediately check the condition of materials for visible and concealed damage that may have occurred in transit.  Make sure to verify you have received the number of packages (packages include boxes, bundles, skids, etc.) listed on the Bill of Lading.

Roll Up Door Outlet and the manufacturer are not responsible for damage or shortages when materials are transported by the Buyer or Consignee to a second destination not listed on the original Bill of Lading.

Roll Up Door Outlet doors are packaged and carefully loaded on freight trucks from our manufacturing facility to minimize possible damage in shipping. Due to transit conditions or product handling outside of Roll Up Door Outlet’s control, minor dents, dings and/or paint scratches may occur and are not authorized reasons for refusal or return of product. 

VISIBLE DAMAGE & SHORTAGES:

  1. The nature of damage and/or shortage must be noted on the driver's delivery receipt (For example, broken bands, broken skids, damage to boxes or bundles, damage to the packaging material, damage to the product and/or what is short or missing.) Inspect the load for possible forklift damage which normally occurs on the ends of the doors.
  2. The driver needs to acknowledge and sign the receipt with noted damage/shortage.  Customer/Buyer or Consignee is to retain a signed receipt for Roll Up Door Outlet and the manufacturer.
  3. Customer/Buyer or Consignee is to notify Roll Up Door Outlet Customer Service at info@rollupdooroutlet.com immediately if possible, but NO later than 48 HOURS after delivery.
  4. Damage claims require pictures of the damage. Please take photos and e-mail to Roll Up Door Outlet at info@rollupdooroutlet.com.

Roll Up Door Outlet and the manufacturer will file a claim with the carrier for materials only, and make every attempt possible to get new product sent, if applicable, as soon as our production schedule allows. Roll Up Door Outlet nor the manufacturer is not responsible for labor or additional costs incurred related to transportation damage, shortages or delays.

The Customer/Buyer or Consignee will need to file a separate claim with the carrier directly, for labor and/or additional costs.

CONCEALED DAMAGE:

  • Material must not be moved from point of delivery (i.e. curbside, driveway, dock, etc.) to other premises prior to discovery and/or reporting damage.
  • Containers and packing must be retained by Customer/Buyer or Consignee until further inspection instruction from Roll Up Door Outlet and the manufacturer.

NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • The Customer/Buyer or Consignee will be liable for the cost of replacement materials if steps 1 through 4 are not strictly adhered to. 
  • Roll Up Door Outlet, neither the manufacturer, nor the carrier will assume responsibility for labour costs involved in replacing damaged material that has been installed.
